A REALM OF WATER AND FEAR IS LIVE
With one small fall, seventeen-year-old Sally Abeneb’s life changes dramatically. After a series of tests, she is sent to a special doctor who tells her she has awoken her elemental powers. Confused and separated from her parents, she tries to navigate a new school filled with other young elementals, some whose parents are involved with a secret organization trying to rule the world and enslave regular people.
Sally finds out she may be destined to either stop the darkness from taking over or be consumed by it. With help from her friends and a secret note, she finds her way to the water elemental palace, where she must help stop a curse from taking over in order to get them to trust her.
With the secret organization following her every move, she learns how to make her powers appear unremarkable while still learning how to control them to keep from falling into their hands or worse, becoming like them. It’s a balancing act that she has to perfect, or her life and her parents are at risk.
Still learning how to use her elemental powers, Sally must now find the air elementals and help them escape from the clutches of darkness. The Pulhu are after her, and even some of the kids in school have decided to help the secret organization. With nowhere safe for her, Sally needs to learn about her powers and how to use them as fast as possible without getting caught.
Sally and her friends must work together to figure out what to do. The darkness is getting closer, and they still don’t know how to stop it. The prophecy says she must find the air elementals or she won’t win, and the darkness will take over, tearing everything she loves apart. Will she be able to save them in time, or will the Pulhu stop her?
Sally’s school is changing as the council tries to get more involved, and Mrs. Sullivan isn’t sure how long she will be able to protect Sally. New teachers are being sent to the school by the council, and no one is sure what side they are on. They could be Pulhu, or they could be dedicated council members. Either way, Sally can’t trust anyone else.
Sally starts searching for the fire elementals, knowing that is the key to stopping everything terrible that is happening, but the Pulhu are already on the trail. They are searching all over for the fire elementals, and they may have a way of forcing them to do what the Pulhu want. How will Sally get past them to save the fire elementals and earn their trust?
As if that wasn’t enough, a baby dragon is following Sally around. She doesn’t know why he is staying close to her, but with the search for the fire elementals becoming a race against the Pulhu, she plans to use every advantage she has, even if the dragon doesn’t want to tell her what’s going on.
Sally is finally starting to accept her role in the prophecy until a secret turns her world upside down. Her friends help her come up with a daring move that could help them in the coming fight or it could destroy everything.
It's a chance Sally thinks she must take. With the world slowly turning to the darkness, there is nowhere left for Sally and her friends to hide. They need to find the earth elementals, but the Pulhu have been looking for them a lot longer.
Is it possible that the earth elementals are already on the Pulhu's side, or are the Pulhu still searching for them? Sally needs to find out before the world's population is destroyed in a war caused by the darkness.
Sally knew beating Helerium wasn’t going to be easy. She didn’t even know if she would be able to find him. So far they weren’t having any luck. The Pulhu were everywhere, and after their last run-in with them at the facility, Sally wasn’t sure if she would even beat them to finding the void elementals.
Almost the entire world was corrupted by the darkness already. It was getting harder and harder to search for the elementals, and now they had even more to worry about. Their parents didn’t have a safe place to hide. Sure they were at the cabin on Mount Etna, but it wasn’t protected like the facility had been, and the Pulhu managed to find them there.
Flying over oceans and running up and down mountains was never in Sally’s plan, but she would do whatever it took to protect her family and her friends. She never wanted to be a part of a prophecy, but she didn’t have a choice now.
To save everyone she loves, she will have to embrace her powers, but can she do it, or is the cost too high?
Tider didn’t get to choose his parents. He never would have picked the ones he had. They were monsters. They loved showing how powerful they were to everyone who came to their house. They used dark magic to keep the other elementals in line.
Soon they were going to want him to follow in their footsteps, but he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to hurt people and control them. All he wanted was for his parents to be normal and maybe to have a friend.
When his power starts to show itself, he tries to keep it hidden, knowing his parents will try to corrupt him right away. He thinks he’s doing a good job until they make him mad, and he drops a large ball of water on their heads.
Now they know his power has emerged and that he will be powerful once he can control it. There’s no way to stop them from ruining his life, but he’s still going to try.
